Visited sights:

Xiahe city is the spiritual center of Gannan located at the height of 2920 m. Tibetan piligrims come here to pray, prostrate themselves and seek spiritual fulfilment at holy Labrang Monastery. Founded in 1709, it is considered to be the most important monastery in TIbetan buddhism outside of Tibet and is home to 1500 monks.

Langmusi  is a sleepy village in a remote breathtaking location the border of Sichuan and Gansu provinces, surrounded by countless red and white monastery buildings, flaping prayer flags, and the mesmerising sound of monks chanting at twilight. Because of different mountain shapes, the geography, vegetation and climate Langmusi has the reputation of “Little Switzerland”. There are two important monasteries.  Behind the monastery there is a gorge with several old meditation caves.  There is also sky burial site. With more than 400 years of history, it is one of the largest celestial burials in Amdo region.

Hezuo is the capital of Gannan autonomous region and has an amazing 9-storey Milarepa temple. Milarepa is one of the few saints who is thought to have attained enlightenment in one lifetime. The temple is 40 meters high and there is also a very nice pilgrimage around the entire monastery that can take around 30-45 minutes to complete if you are up for a leisurely stroll with Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims.
